Author Guidelines

Submission requirements:

All material submitted for analysis must follow the Publication Rules, which contain detailed instructions on the data to be sent, its format, as well as the rules of the American Psychological Association (APA) that must be used.

1. Originals must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • It is suggested that, without compromising the clarity of the text, its length should not exceed 11,000 words, or that the articles should have an extension of 70 thousand characters with space, including abstracts and bibliographical references.
  • Additional costs for illustrations will be borne by the author, who will be informed in advance.
  • It is also the author's responsibility to obtain authorization for illustrations, when required.

2. The Journal accepts texts written in Portuguese, English, Italian, Spanish or French (title, abstract and keywords must be informed in the original language, in Portuguese, Spanish and English);

3. The title, abstracts and keywords must comply with the DeCs (Descriptors in Health Sciences)

4. It is recommended that the author inform his ORCID record. If you do not have it and if it is in the author's interest to obtain it, register at https://orcid.org/.

5. The decision regarding the publication of the papers received is exclusive to the Editorial Council.

6. The Editorial Council reserves the right to send invitations to specialists with evident academic competence in the field of psychoanalysis for possible publication of their intellectual production in the Revista de Psicanálise da SPPA. In this case, the texts go through the standard evaluation procedure adopted by the journal, under the responsibility of the editors.

7. Exceptionally, works that have already been published in foreign journals will be accepted. In that case, they will be subject to the same evaluation process.

8. Texts not accepted for publication in the Revista de Psicanalysis, even if archived by the Open Journal System (OJS), are released for submission in other journals.
